Welcome to the Adult Mental Health Division
Dr. Thomas Hester Aloha, and e komo mai (welcome) to the Adult Mental Health Division.

"Hawaii is developing a strong recovery foundation based on family and consumer direction. It has implemented most of the critical evidence-based practices and has capacity for utilization management services authorization and payment fidelity monitoring, and outcome evaluation. The biggest challenge is to build on the strengths of what currently exists in order to create a fully integrated system that provides accessible high quality service, continuity amongst providers, and which produces meaningful improvement in the lives of persons with severe mental illness."
-Dr. Thomas Hester, Chief Adult Mental Health Division
